Inspection - Firestops

Firestops, also known as fire-resistant seals or fire penetrations, can be found in every building today. They are an integral part of a building’s fire safety system pursuant to Section 5(1)(a) of Act
No. 133/1985 Coll. on Fire Protection and Section 9 of Decree No. 246/2001 Coll. on Fire Prevention. They are therefore subject to mandatory annual inspections. Inspections are carried out in the scope and manner specified by legal regulations, the requirements of relevant standards, and the manufacturer’s accompanying documentation at least once a year, unless a shorter interval is specified.

Inspection of firestops:

  • preventing harm to human and animal health, ensuring safe evacuation,
  • preventing damage caused by the spread of fire and smoke to the property of the affected building and surrounding structures at risk of fire,
  • avoiding penalties during preventive inspections by the Fire Department,
  • enabling effective and safe intervention by the Fire Department,
  • claiming insurance benefits based on valid operational inspections.
In addition to inspections, we also offer repair and retrofitting services for non-compliant fire penetrations identified during inspections, ranging from small penetrations for individual cables to structural joints or combined penetrations.
